We offer youth baseball players the opportunity to join a competitive pick up team entirely composed of guest players and play in tournaments when they have an off weekend. Whether you player is looking to get extra practice, have fun, improve their skills, play with friends, or make entirely new friends, we provide the perfect opportunity.
Guest Player Connect is unique in its focus on providing on-demand, flexible, fun, and supportive playing opportunities for all skill levels. We emphasize equal play, skill development, and the joy of the game rather than just winning. We’re also family-based and deeply understand the needs of both players and parents.
We have nothing against parent coaches! Those who volunteer their time often don’t get enough credit. However, to maintain the perception of fairness, our coaches are paid professionals with baseball experience, either as players or coaches. This ensures unbiased decisions and a focus on skill development. While some coaches may also be parents, they will not coach their own children to maintain fairness.
Yes, all our coaches undergo background checks through JDP to ensure a safe and positive environment for all players. We take the safety and well-being of your children very seriously.
Our coaches are experienced baseball professionals with backgrounds as players and coaches at every level, including high school, college, and professional baseball. They’re passionate about the game and focused on creating a positive, development-first environment where every player can grow and enjoy the experience.
Each coach goes through a rigorous interview and screening process to ensure we select the right people to coach your player with knowledge, fairness, and care.
Coaches are assigned to teams based on their experience, availability, and familiarity with the age group they are coaching. We carefully match coaches to ensure they can provide the best support and guidance for each team.
Yes! We’re always looking for passionate and qualified individuals to join our coaching team. If you’re a parent, you are welcome to apply, but please note that we do not assign parents to coach their own child’s team to maintain fairness.
We are looking for coaches who:
This is an ideal opportunity for college students who are not currently playing baseball but have played in the past, educators with summers and weekends off, or professionals with flexible schedules during these times.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! Apply online here.
The Extra Innings Pass Membership is GPC’s annual uniform and insurance package that allows your player to register for Guest Player Connect tournaments nationwide. It includes a team hat and jersey and player insurance, both valid for one year, and gives families access to lower per-event pricing throughout the year. By bundling uniforms and insurance into an annual membership, we’ve been able to reduce individual tournament registration fees by approximately 25–33%, helping families save money while giving players more opportunities to get on the field.
Yes. All players must have an active Extra Innings Pass Membership to register for Guest Player Connect events. The membership includes a one-year uniform and insurance package and allows us to bundle costs upfront, which helps reduce individual tournament registration fees by approximately 25–33%. This model also gives families greater flexibility to sign up for events when it works best for their schedule.
The Extra Innings Pass Membership is an annual fee. The exact price may vary during special promotions, but it provides year-round access and bundled value including player insurance, uniform, and event eligibility.
To view the current membership price, visit the Extra Innings Pass product page.
You can manage or cancel your EIP membership anytime by logging into your GPC account and visiting the Membership Settings section. Cancellation will prevent future renewals, but your current membership will remain active until it expires
No. The Extra Innings Pass Membership is non-refundable, even if you do not end up registering for a tournament. It auto-renews each year unless canceled before the renewal date.
We recommend families only sign up when they’re ready to participate in GPC events.
If you already purchased the Extra Innings Pass in the past few days, this is expected.
Your pass is pending activation and will be activated shortly. Until that happens, the system may still show the Extra Innings Pass during checkout.
You can safely continue with your order.
If a duplicate Extra Innings Pass appears:
Please make sure you’re logged into the same account/email you used to purchase the pass — that’s how the system recognizes your Extra Innings Pass once it’s active.
If you have questions or want us to confirm your pass status, please reach out through our Contact Us form and include the email you used for your original purchase. We’ll take care of it quickly.
We do not take requests for jersey numbers at this time.
If you’ve already purchased the Extra Innings Pass (EIP), it still needs to be activated on our side. Once it’s activated, it will no longer appear in your cart.
If you don’t want to wait, you can go ahead and complete registration with the Extra Innings Pass in your cart — your card will not be charged again for it.
Just let us know, and we’ll remove the duplicate from your order.
We’ll make sure you’re all set.
Simply browse our list of upcoming tournaments, choose the event that fits your schedule, and sign up. You’ll select your child’s position(s) and the appropriate skill level during registration. View our list of tournaments here.
When determining your child’s skill level, consider their experience, performance, and overall ability. We use a scale from 1-5:
Level 1 (Beginner):: Brand new to baseball or still learning the basics—throwing, catching, hitting. Minimal to no competitive experience. May struggle to make consistent contact at the plate or complete routine plays.
Recommended Tournament Fit: Minors
Level 2 (Developing): Players who have a basic understanding of the game and can execute core skills, but still need to work on consistency and confidence in a competitive setting. They may have limited experience in tournaments.
Recommended Tournament Level: Open, Minors
Level 3 (Intermediate):Players who demonstrate solid skills in all areas of the game. They have some tournament experience and can compete effectively but may still need to refine certain aspects of their play.
Recommended Tournament Level: Open, Minors
Level 4 (Advanced): Players with strong technical skills and a good understanding of game strategy. They have substantial experience in competitive settings and can consistently perform under pressure.
Recommended Tournament Level: Open, Majors
Level 5 (Elite): Players who excel in all areas of the game, consistently performing at a high level. These players have extensive tournament experience, advanced game knowledge, and a high degree of competitiveness.
Recommended Tournament Level: Open, Majors
Yes, we offer three types of tournaments:
Yes! If your child and their friends sign up for the same tournament and are of similar skill levels, they will be placed on the same team to enjoy the experience together. You can always reach out to us and let us know just to make sure.
Yes, if you have a full team, you can sign them all up to participate in the tournament together.
Once you sign your player up, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the next steps. As the tournament date approaches, we’ll send you all the important details, including the game schedule, coach contact information, and when and where to pick up uniforms.
Schedules are typically provided 5-7 days before the tournament, depending on when the host releases them. Rest assured, we’ll keep you informed every step of the way to ensure a smooth and exciting tournament experience! More on How It Works.
Your child will meet their coach and new teammates, warm up, and play in competitive games. Every player gets equal playing time, and standout performers are recognized with MVP awards at the end of the tournament. As is baseball, sometimes our teams are great. Sometimes, they struggle. It all depends on the weekend and who signs up.
We review the skill levels and the details provided by parents during registration to ensure players are put in a safe and enjoyable environment. This ensures balanced competition and minimizes the risk of injury. Our impartial coaches also play a crucial role in maintaining a positive, supportive, and fair environment. They have a knack at making sure that even the struggling players will contribute on a competitive level.
We review the skill levels provided during registration to place players on appropriate teams. This ensures balanced competition and minimizes the risk of injury. Our impartial coaches also play a crucial role in maintaining a positive, supportive, and fair environment.
Absolutely! Guest Player Connect is designed for players of all skill levels, including those who may not be on competitive teams. Our goal is to provide every child with the opportunity to play, grow, and have fun.
We form teams based on the age divisions set by the tournament host. For example, some indoor tournaments may not allow 12U players due to the size of the facility, fields, and players. If you don’t see your player’s age listed, it’s likely because the tournament doesn’t offer that division that weekend.
Indoor winter tournaments typically don’t offer divisions beyond 12U because the players are too big to hit baseballs safely inside, and the fields are too small to accommodate them.
Yes. We do offer 15U+ teams, typically during the summer once high school baseball is wrapping up. This timing allows players to compete without conflicting with school or team commitments and gives them an opportunity to continue playing quality baseball in a competitive, development-focused environment.
Availability may vary by location and tournament, so we encourage families to check upcoming events or reach out directly if they’re interested in 15U+ opportunities.
The cost of signing up depends on several variables, but we do everything we can to keep the cost as low as possible for you. Your registration fee covers participation, professional coaching, tournament fees, and a set minimum and maximum number of games depending on the tournament. You'll also enjoy a stress-free, development-focused experience where players can grow their skills while having fun on the field.
We offer a 100% Risk-Free Guarantee to give families peace of mind while maintaining the integrity of our teams and tournaments. When you register, your spot is held without risk—if we’re unable to place your player on a team, you will not be charged.
For full details, please review our Refund & Cancellation Policy on the website.
No stress. No surprises. Just more opportunities for your player to get on the field.
We can apply the coupon code retroactively as a one-time courtesy, but a $10 processing fee will be charged to cover administrative costs. To avoid this fee in the future, please apply the code at checkout.
Yes. If your player already has a GPC uniform from a previous tournament, they can absolutely reuse it for future events. Uniforms are part of the Extra Innings Pass Membership, which includes a hat and jersey that are valid for one full year, helping reduce overall registration costs for families.
If your player needs a different size or wants a fresh look, additional hats or jerseys can be ordered at any time. Reusing your existing uniform is always encouraged, but replacements are available whenever needed.
If your coupon code isn’t working, please reach out to us through the Contact Us page before completing your registration.
We’re happy to look into it and help if there’s an issue.
Please note: once your card has been charged, we are not able to refund the difference for a coupon after the fact — so it’s important to contact us prior to signing up.
We’ll get it sorted out quickly.
You can find the tournament dates on our Tournaments Page. Each listing includes the dates and other key details.
Your child should bring all standard baseball gear, including their glove, bat, helmet, and any other equipment they need to play. Players should wear baseball white pants, along with light blue socks and a light blue belt, to keep the team looking consistent and game-ready.
We also recommend bringing multiple types of footwear, including cleats, turf shoes, and sneakers, in case field surfaces change. Field types aren’t always confirmed in advance, but if we have that information ahead of time, we’ll always share it with families.
All the details, including dates, location, age groups, and formats, are available on our Tournaments Page. Simply click on the tournament name for full information.
Yes, parents are encouraged to come and support their child during the tournament. We believe in creating a fun and family-friendly atmosphere where everyone can enjoy the game.
In the case of bad weather, we’ll do our best to keep you informed about any schedule changes or cancellations. Safety is our top priority, and we’ll follow local guidelines to ensure a safe playing environment. We will inform you as soon as we hear from the tournament directors.
You will also have the option to receive a full refund for the event or switch to another tournament of equal or lesser value.
Yes, we may use photos or videos of your child for social media unless you specifically ask us not to.
In most cases, yes. Stay-to-play tournaments require teams to book lodging through the tournament’s designated hotel partners in order to participate. These requirements are set by the tournament organizers, not Guest Player Connect.
If you’re traveling out of state, we strongly recommend waiting to book non-refundable travel arrangements (flights, hotels, etc.) until your team has officially formed. Teams are typically finalized 2–3 weeks prior to the event, and we’ll communicate as soon as everything is confirmed so families can plan with confidence.
We’re actively working to expand Guest Player Connect into new regions and baseball communities as demand grows. New locations are added based on player interest, tournament availability, and our ability to deliver the same high-quality experience families expect from GPC. If you don’t see events near you yet, we encourage you to join our email list or reach out directly—letting us know where you’re located helps guide future expansion.
The GPC Gold Club is an earned recognition, not something players sign up for or purchase. Players are selected for the Gold Club by earning an All-Tournament Medallion or being nominated to the All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of a Guest Player Connect tournament.
The Gold Club runs alongside the GPC season, beginning around August 20 each year to align with fall age-group changes, and remains active through August 19 of the following year. Players who earn Gold Club recognition during that window are eligible to participate in Gold Club events throughout that season.
Gold Club recognition highlights players who performed at a high level during tournament play and earned All-Tournament honors. Once earned, Gold Club status remains active for the full season
ALL GPC is an exclusive invite-only, top-tier Guest Player Connect experience created for players who have earned Gold Club recognition and separated themselves through performance. These events bring together the best of the best from across regions to compete as one team in elite, high-quality baseball experiences.
ALL GPC is not a league or a season-long team. Events are intentionally limited and highly curated to maintain balanced rosters, strong competition, and a premium on-field experience. Not every Gold Club player will be invited to every ALL GPC event—invitations are selective and based on event-specific needs to preserve the highest level of play.
ALL GPC represents the highest standard within Guest Player Connect—top-tier competition, quality pitching, meaningful at-bats, and an environment where players are challenged, pushed, and rewarded for earning their spot on the field.
Livestreaming is handled by the tournament host — not Guest Player Connect. Some tournaments may offer livestreams, so we recommend checking the tournament host’s website for details.
GPC does not livestream games directly. However, parents are absolutely welcome to bring their own livestream equipment and connect it to our GameChanger.
If you’d like to do that, just reach out to your player’s coach before the tournament so everything can be coordinated smoothly.
If you no longer see your tournament listed on our website, it is most likely because GPC was not able to secure a spot in that event and it is no longer being offered.
If this happens, we will send an email notification shortly after the tournament is removed from the site.
If you haven’t received an email yet, please check your inbox (and spam folder) — it should be coming soon.
If you still have questions, feel free to reach out through our Contact Us page and we’ll take care of you.
Players sign up for a team during registration, and that is the team they will play on. We carefully consider skill levels and primary/secondary positions to ensure teams are balanced and competitive. If we believe the tournament may be too advanced for a player based on their skill level, we will reach out to the parents to discuss options.
Players are given priority at the position they signed up and paid for. We also strongly consider the primary and secondary positions entered during registration to help move players around as needed. For 11U and under, all players will rotate and spend time in the outfield to ensure well-rounded development. For 12U and up, players will primarily play their chosen positions, but they may also play the outfield from time to time. While we aim to rotate players for experience, positions outside of the one they signed up for are not guaranteed.Although, it does happen most of the time because players ask to play new positions. Pitching is not guaranteed.
We start with a random lineup for Game 1 to keep things fair for everyone. To help balance at-bats, the player who is on deck when Game 1 ends will lead off Game 2, ensuring equal offensive opportunities across games.
If Game 1 happens to end at the bottom of the order, the lineup may stay the same for the next game, or we may flip the order to keep things interesting and continue balancing at-bats.
If your player is a stud or a great hitter and ends up batting near the bottom of the order—we hear you, and we’re sorry. Sometimes that’s just the luck of the draw. Lineups are random, and in some cases, they may also be set alphabetically.
During pool play, coaches will create more strategic lineups based on what they observe—while still keeping fairness and development as the priority.
Everyone bats in every game.
Equal and fair playing time means each player has the same opportunity to be on the field—not necessarily playing every position. Our goal is to ensure every player receives an equal number of innings, ideally at least four innings in a six-inning game, whenever possible.
At the same time, we work to keep games competitive, which helps teams stay in games longer and gives players more innings and at-bats overall. Some positions require specific skills or experience to prioritize safety and player development, so adjustments may be necessary.
While a plan may look great on paper, games don’t always go the full six or seven innings due to time limits, weather, or game flow. When that happens, our coaches do their best to pivot in real time while keeping fairness, equal opportunity, and the overall experience top of mind.
If your player is interested in a particular position, let the coach know, and we will consider it for future games.
We offer tournaments at different skill levels and encourage families to register for the level that best fits their player. This allows us to form balanced teams and create competitive games that lead to more innings and at-bats for everyone.
In Open Tournaments, where players of varying skill levels may compete together, our coaches focus on maintaining a positive, development-first environment while also keeping games competitive. Lineups, positions, and pitching decisions are made with fairness, safety, and the overall game experience in mind.
While skill levels may vary, our goal is always the same: keep the team competitive, ensure equal and meaningful playing time, and provide an environment where every player can grow, contribute, and enjoy the game.
The roster size is 12 players per team. We also focus on ensuring that we have enough pitching for the tournament to keep the team competitive and prepared.
We don’t know—and that’s okay. All players are guest players, and teams are made up of kids who may not have played together before. No one should sign up expecting championships or focusing solely on wins and losses.
What families are paying for with a GPC experience is quality baseball. Your player will face good competition, see quality pitching, get meaningful at-bats, and play defense at multiple positions in a competitive game environment. By the end of the weekend, players walk away having earned real game experience and confidence—better players because of the reps, challenges, and moments they experienced on the field.
Pitching is one of the most important pillars in keeping a team competitive and in the game, which ultimately helps ensure players get more innings and more at-bats. Because of that, pitching opportunities are not guaranteed and are determined by the coach with the goal of keeping the team competitive while also balancing development, experience, and fun.
Pitching decisions are based on a player’s pitching experience, skill level, pitch history, and overall game strategy. We also closely monitor pitch count limits to protect players’ arms and prioritize long-term health.
Parents who completed the Pitching Questionnaire during registration have already provided valuable information that helps guide these decisions. If your player is interested in pitching and the questionnaire was not completed, please let us know. Final pitching decisions, however, will always be made by the coach based on what is best for the team and the players on the field.
During pool play, our focus is on development and evaluation. Players are rotated more frequently to assess capabilities, create balanced lineups, and give everyone meaningful opportunities to contribute and gain experience.
In playoffs or elimination games, we shift to a more strategic approach to stay competitive and, when possible, extend the weekend by playing additional games. That said, while a plan may look great on paper, baseball doesn’t always cooperate. Games don’t always go a full six or seven innings, weather and time limits can impact rotations, and sometimes we have to pivot on the fly.
Even when adjustments are needed, equal play and fairness are always top of mind. Our coaches do their best to shift plans in real time to keep playing time as balanced as possible and ensure every player continues to have a positive, meaningful experience on the field.
Players should plan to wear white baseball pants with light blue socks and a light blue belt. Long pants or knickers are both perfectly fine, and pants with stripes or piping are no problem. These are simply recommendations to help the team look consistent and game-ready — players are absolutely welcome to wear what they already have.
If a tournament has specific uniform requirements that differ from this, we’ll communicate that with families ahead of time.
Please do not iron on numbers or use a marker to create your own. We’ll handle all team numbering.
As a guest player team, it’s also normal for teammates to occasionally share the same number. Numbers are assigned randomly — it’s just luck of the draw. At your next event, you may not see any duplicates at all.
We reset our GameChanger teams each week as we prepare for the next tournament. That means new families and players are added for each upcoming event, and previous tournament teams are cleared out.
If you’d like to save your player’s stats or download any videos, please make sure to do so immediately following the tournament.
Let us know if you need help locating anything before it resets — we’re happy to assist.
